About the event
The kids and I will sort all their candy by categories...and then we will graph it on a bar graph. Also, we will continue this concept of graphs and answer some questions that introduces them to FRACTIONS...fraction vs. part of the whole. Younger kids will then be asked to tell me how many pieces of candy they have left, of the kind they ate and/or out of their entire batch. Older kids will be asked to tell me what fraction of their candy did they eat out of the whole vs. out of the kind they ate.
Students will need to bring their CANDY STASH and whether or not they can eat candy during that class, that is completely up to the you, as parents.
They will also need to bring a sheet of paper (for graphing), pencils, markers, and colored pencils for graphing and coloring.
It will be so much fun! I hope you can join me!
