About the event
The kids will complete a Space/Solar system escape room and return back to earth with me that is easy to navigate. We will answer and go over questions (including real-life problems involving planets and space) that will review their 3rd-4th grade math knowledge including but not limited to multiplication, addition and subtraction of larger whole numbers, area/perimeter problems, as well as word problems that they have to decipher and complete in order to return back to earth. All questions will align with the state learning standards for mathematics for 3rd-4th graders.
Students will engage with me and other students in solving the problems, taking turns answering questions (and sharing their answer) and using the chat box to also engage with me in providing me feedback on their answer.
Optional: I encourage the kids to come DRESSED up if they would like as an astronaut and have fun with it! =)
Please bring a paper and pencil to write with or if you prefer, you can bring your whiteboard and eraser. We will need it for scratch paper to help solve the problems!
